Dear All:

On behalf of the entire FESPACO family, I would like to bid you welcome to the forthcoming FESPACO festival due February 24, to March 3, 2007, in Ouagadougou.

The 2007 edition theme is "African Cinema and Cultural Diversity." The main items of the program schedule include:

A- Film competition: African feature and short films competition; African professional TV &Video competition; African documentary film competition; and last but not least African Diaspora competition/Paul Robeson Award-(Diaspora submissions only: www.prai.us).

B- Discovery:¨Panorama of Africa and World films; retrospectives and focus on some African cinematographies.

C- The 13th African International Film and TV Market (MICA)

D- Professional meetings and panels.

I would specifically like to express my gratitude to the entire PRAI Committee for the good work done as part of the Paul Robeson Award Initiative, so far and to kindly invite you to join them in keeping up their great work, of compiling the "Best of the Best" Films/Videos from the African Diaspora.
